0 New Samsung Galaxy S III


Samsung's flagship Android-based smartphone Galaxy S III has hit the Indian stores. The star-studded event saw several top officials from Samsung where the quad-core processor powered smartphone was unveiled by Bollywood star Nargis Fakhri.

The smartphone runs the latest Android 4.0 operating system and is powered by a 1.4 GHz quad core processor. As compared to its predecessor the Galaxy S II, the latest Galaxy smartphone sports a 12.19-cm (4.8-inch) HD Super AMOLED display. An 8 MP rear and 1.9 MP front camera with almost-zero shutter lag captured the attention of many across the launch event.

The newest member of the Galaxy series carries a whooping 80 GB of storage space that includes 16 GB internal and 64 GB of expandable storage.











The smartphone features 'Game Hub' and 'Video Hub' for the gaming and multimedia enthusiasts, which provide users access to various social games and high quality TV and movies, respectively. These features will initially be introduced in select countries and subsequently on the global market.
Another new feature of the smartphone is 'S Beam' that enables users to share large size videos, audio files to other phones instantly. On the other hand the 'Smart Stay' feature that makes use of the front facing camera, detects user movements and keeps the screen from going off.
The phone is priced at Rs 43,180, though several online retail stores are offering a cheaper deal.
